Letterpress has a long and illustrious history of poster printing. Back in the day, posters were printed from type cut from wood or cast out of lead. Today, most letterpress printing is done from a more modern material called photopolymer plates. Nocturnal Press is one of the few shops in the country that offers both photopolymer printing and printing from our vast collection of antique wood and lead type.

We love working with musicians, designers, artists, organizations, universities, museums, businesses and everyone in between to create the perfect letterpress printed posters for their needs. We can also combine techniques such as letterpress with screen printing or printing from both photopolymer and antique type within one poster to get the look and feel you’re going for.
